My $40 cheap air fryer almost caught fire last Tuesday

I bought this no-name air fryer off a random website for 40 bucks because I wanted to test if I'd even use one. Worked fine for two weeks, then I smelled burning plastic while cooking some frozen fries. Opened it up and the heating element was glowing red and the wire insulation was melting. I unplugged it fast but it scared me pretty good. Anyone else learn the hard way that cheap electronics aren't worth the risk?
