The $12 desk mat that made me ditch my mousepad and wrist rest

Bought a cheap felt desk mat last Tuesday just to stop my keyboard from sliding around. Turns out it killed the need for both the mousepad and the gel wrist rest I've used for 5 years. My wrist stopped aching after 3 days and my desk actually looks clean now. Anyone else find one random accessory that made two other products obsolete?
