Bought a $600 Festool Domino joiner last month and wish I'd done it years ago
I was using biscuits and dowels for forever on face frames and cabinet doors. Tried the Domino on a set of oak cabinets in a house near Austin and the time saved is unreal. Has anyone else found a tool that just completely changed how they work?

Oh my gosh, the domino is a game changer for sure. I'm still using my old biscuit joiner because I'm stubborn but my buddy who builds high end cabinets says the domino cut his assembly time in half. Something I don't hear people mention is how much it saves your shoulders and back from all that leaning over and clamping.

Whoa, I gotta push back on the ergonomics thing. I've been using a domino for about two years now and honestly I still end up bent over the bench trying to line up the cut marks and the fence. And then you have to basically do a mini-squat to check your plunge depth. My biscuit joiner was actually lighter and easier to maneuver one-handed while holding a workpiece. Plus my domino tends to wobble if I don't tighten the fence just right so I'm constantly fiddling with it instead of leaning less. Don't get me wrong, the joinery is way stronger. But my back hasn't noticed a difference.
