Shoutout to the old hand-cut dovetail jig I bought in 2003
I used to spend a whole afternoon setting it up, but now my CNC router knocks out a drawer's worth in about 20 minutes. Anyone still using those old jigs for special one-off pieces?

What specific part of the setup for that old jig took the longest, and did that slow process change how you planned your cuts compared to now?

Honestly, the old jig taught me more about wood movement and grain direction than the CNC ever could... you feel the resistance in the cut. Still pull it out for teaching my kid the basics, even if it's slow.
