The dust collection setup at that new shop in Denver was a joke
Went to check out a friend's new shop in Denver last month and I couldn't believe what he was running. A single 2 inch hose off a shop vac trying to serve a table saw, a jointer, and a planer all daisy chained together. I timed him cleaning up after one afternoon of work, it took 25 minutes to blow out the cabinet carcasses and sanding station. The worst part is he spent $400 on those fancy quick connect fittings instead of just buying a proper 4 inch system. I get that startups are tight on cash, but does anyone else think people skip the dusty basics just to look cool in photos? What did you guys run when you first opened your shop?

Toss that daisy chain setup straight in the trash and run a single 4 inch line to the saw first, then add a cyclone to whatever you have left over. I made the same mistake with a shop vac years ago and wasted a whole weekend fixing it, so trust me on this one.
