Bought a $200 Klein fishtape and it paid off on one job alone

I finally got sick of wrestling with my old steel fishtape that kept kinking mid-pull. Picked up a Klein fiberglass fishtape from the supply house for about $200. On a huge office run yesterday, I pulled 6 cat6 cables through a 90 foot conduit in like 15 minutes. Has anyone else switched to fiberglass and seen a big difference?

Did you lube the conduit first or just send it dry?

My old man used to swear by steel tapes, said they were the only way to get a feel for what was going on in the pipe... but then I watched him spend an entire afternoon trying to fish a 30 footer through a single 90 degree bend, cursing the whole time. First time I used a fiberglass fish tape I pulled a 50 foot run in ten minutes flat, then spent the rest of the day listening to him argue with a kinked steel tape that wouldn't budge... he finally switched after that.

Nah, I'd rather deal with a steel fishtape that actually lets me feel what's happening inside the conduit. Fiberglass just feels numb to me, and for 200 bucks I could buy two solid steel ones and still have change.
