How a crawl space sneeze reshaped my gear routine
In my experience, I believed masks were extra hassle for small jobs. A dust cloud proved me wrong in a hurry. Take this with a grain of salt, but now I won't start without one.

Read an article about how drywall dust has silica in it, stuff that can really mess up your lungs long term. Made me look at my old cloth mask differently. Now I keep a proper N95 in my truck at all times, not just for big jobs. That attic insulation story is no joke, it gets everywhere. Once you feel that grit in your throat you never skip it again.

Absolutely same here with attic insulation. I thought opening a window was enough until I spent the next day blowing grey stuff out of my nose. That single mistake made a respirator standard for any dusty job now.
