Went to a small con in Portland last month and finally got the nerve to join a panel talk about filler episodes.

The worst filler I ever saw was in Naruto's "Chunin Exams" arc. They added like 15 episodes of random side characters doing pointless missions nobody cared about. It was all just to stall for the manga to get ahead. That's the real problem, when filler completely wrecks the pacing of a good story.

How a crawl space sneeze reshaped my gear routine

Read an article about how drywall dust has silica in it, stuff that can really mess up your lungs long term. Made me look at my old cloth mask differently. Now I keep a proper N95 in my truck at all times, not just for big jobs. That attic insulation story is no joke, it gets everywhere. Once you feel that grit in your throat you never skip it again.

Am I the only one who found out how many AI training images are just random faces from old Flickr photos?

Notice this stuff is everywhere now. My smart speaker probably learned its manners from a million stolen blog posts, and my news feed feels like it's trained on my own private texts. It's not just photos, it's every bit of our old digital life being ground up for content we never agreed to make. The whole internet feels like one big, quiet data heist where we're both the victims and the product.

PSA: Watch out for new brick batches that don't weather like the old local ones

Yeah, that exact mix saved my patio last summer.

Rant: My backsplash took forever to set and I'm happy it did

Used to swear by the fast stuff to keep jobs moving quick. Watched a patio I did start crumbling after one winter because the base mix set too fast. Now I tell clients that good curing time isn't a delay, it's part of the build.
