My boss paused our video call over my stinky cheese habit.

I always have blue cheese on crackers when I'm stressed at work. Today on a call, my manager said he could smell it through the screen. Are some comfort foods too disruptive for shared work times?

That "smell it through the screen" comment is wild. It makes me wonder if video calls have us all hyper-aware of smells now, since we can't share the actual space to know what's normal.

Oh man, that's rough. Blue cheese is definitely a smell, even over a call. Might be a bit much for shared work time.

Blue cheese is a tough one for shared air, even virtual air. Like paigem45 said, video calls make us notice smells more. Maybe save the strong snacks for after the meetings.
