The old ledger book sat in storage until last month, now I scan every receipt into QuickBooks the day it hits the counter
Back in 2015 I ran my shop on a paper ledger and a shoebox full of coffee-stained slips, took me a whole weekend to file taxes, but now my POS pushes everything into the cloud and I swore I'd never touch a binder again, so has anyone else made the jump from paper to digital and actually missed the smell of those old pages?

Man, same boat here, I don't miss digging through those old slips to find one missing number, but I gotta admit there's something weirdly satisfying about that ledger smell that my laptop just can't beat.

Wait, you actually miss the smell of old ledgers? Like, seriously sniffing those dusty pages on purpose? I get nostalgia for the old system, but I think my point of no return was finding a $47 discrepancy that took me three hours to chase down because some slip had landed behind the filing cabinet. @oscar_ellis, you're telling me that smell beats just tapping a button and knowing the number is right there? Look, I'll admit the old leather cover had a certain character, but my nose does not miss that musty paper dust one bit.
