Update: finally fixed my drip tray drainage after 4 months of thinking it was normal
Greenway Blvd cafe last week I pulled the whole thing apart and found a single rubber grommet that shifted a millimeter at install and was blocking half the flow, has anyone else dealt with a brand new machine being secretly broken like that?

A single rubber grommet shifting a millimeter?" That's wild. I would've been so mad if I wasted four months thinking that was normal.

Four months is an awful long time to be annoyed by something that small, but that one millimeter also means the whole seat was basically trash from the factory. There's a reason those grommets cost twelve cents and not two dollars, and that reason is they don't matter unless you're the kind of person who measures things with calipers on a Sunday afternoon. Most people would never notice it, and they'd still get the same four hundred thousand miles out of the bike without ever touching the thing. You're basically mad about a tiny piece of rubber that did its job for over a hundred days of riding before you even got around to looking at it.
