inI was talking to a plumber at a coffee shop in Denver about his invoicing system
Automated reminders are the only reason I get paid at all.

inI thought the whole 'smart ring' thing was just a gimmick
Right, it's not just about sleeping without a watch. You forget you're even wearing it during the day. How often does a watch band get caught on something or just feel bulky when you're working with your hands? The ring never does that. It becomes a part of you in a way a watch never could. That freedom makes all the tech stuff feel secondary, doesn't it?

inI started tracking our game group's 'analysis paralysis' time and it changed everything
Our group in Denver had the same problem, we wasted a good 15 minutes every meetup just talking in circles. What finally worked was a rotating pick system, where a different person just chooses the game each week, no debate allowed. It sounds a bit bossy but it completely removed the stress. I like what @dakota_nelson43 said about random picks too, that's basically the same spirit of just getting on with it. We found that once someone just makes the call, everyone is happy to go along and start having fun. The whole mood is better when you're not stuck in that pre-game negotiation.

inMy uncle insisted I soak a stuck helicoid in kerosene for a week, and it actually freed up the focus on a 1972 Pentax Spotmatic.
Honestly that kerosene trick is wild but I get it. Tbh I once used a mix of vinegar and baking soda to clean battery corrosion off some old flash contacts. It fizzed like a science fair volcano and I thought I ruined the whole unit. Ngl after rinsing it off with some isopropyl, the contacts were spotless and it worked perfectly. Sometimes the weird kitchen chemistry just pays off.
