Honestly, I used to just pile on when someone got called out online without checking the facts

After a local musician in Austin got wrongly accused of something last year, I saw how fast his gigs got pulled before the full story came out. Now I always wait at least 48 hours before I even form an opinion, anyone else do that?

48 hours is smart but sometimes the full story takes weeks to come out.

Yeah, and by then the public's already moved on to the next thing. The initial hot take becomes the permanent story for most people.
