Just lucky? That's a lazy way to look at it. Luck is just being ready when a chance shows up. Your friend probably put in a ton of work you never saw. Calling it all luck just ignores their effort and makes it sound like they didn't earn it. Most wins are a mix of hard work and timing, not just a random ticket.
