Vent: I donated $50 to a 'cancel this influencer' campaign and now I feel like a sucker
It was for a creator who made a dumb joke, and the whole thing blew over in a week. The campaign organizers just kept the money. Has anyone else gotten burned by one of these online pile-on fundraisers?

Yeah @ross.felix, those scams really make you lose faith in trying to help people.

Ugh, that's so frustrating! I got caught up in a similar thing last year for a gaming streamer. Now I only give to people I know personally or big, clear charities. It's the only way to be sure.
