My brother said reviving Firefly is pointless 20 years later, and I think he's wrong for one dumb reason

I read somewhere that Firefly still pulls in new fans every year from people who stumble on it on streaming, so saying it's pointless feels off to me. The thing is, a show doesn't have to be new to matter. I mean, people still watch old Star Trek and Twilight Zone and nobody calls that a waste. Plus the movie Serenity gave it some kind of ending, but the show itself got cut way too soon and there's clearly still an audience that cares. Maybe your brother just doesn't get why people hold onto stuff like that, but that doesn't make it pointless.
