Spent a year trying to get Freaks and Geeks revived, then realized it's better left alone
I used to think we needed a season 2 of Freaks and Geeks so bad... that show ended way too soon. But after rewatching it three times this year, I compared what it was to what a revival would look like now with the cast all in their 40s and it just wouldn't work. The whole magic was them being awkward teenagers in 1980. Has anyone else come around on a show you thought needed saving?

You ever get emotionally attached to a cancelled show so hard you forget half the cast is now older than your parents? I swear I still get sad about it... right before I realize I'm pushing forty and still quoting "that's what she said.

The part about realizing you're pushing 40 and still quoting old show lines hit me hard, @simon717. I read somewhere that our brains actually cling to the comfort of shows we watched during formative years, which explains why I can't let go of a certain 2000s sitcom even though its humor is dated. Does it ever make you wonder if we're just nostalgic for who we were when we first watched those episodes?
