That one show 'The Knick' got canceled way too soon for my blood
I started rewatching The Knick on a whim last month, and man, it still holds up so well. The surgery scenes with Clive Owen were wild, and the whole 1900s New York setting felt super real. I heard it got canned after season 2 back in 2015 because of budget issues or something, and I'm still salty about it. Like, there's so much more story to tell with Dr. Thackery and that hospital. Has anyone else tried to track down what the creators planned for season 3?

It wasn't budget issues exactly, it was more of a network thing. Cinemax was shifting away from original dramas around that time, so they just didn't renew it. Clive Owen has said in interviews that the creators had ideas for at least 3 more seasons, the whole thing was supposed to be a 5 season arc.
