That week in 2018 when Netflix axed 'The OA' still feels like a gut punch
Honestly, I remember the exact day they announced it, a Thursday in August. I'd just finished the second season and was fully invested in the whole puzzle. The show had a real cult following, with fans even doing the movements in public. They left it on a huge cliffhanger that set up a third season perfectly. It's been over 5 years and I still think about where that story could have gone. Has anyone else had a show cancelation that just stuck with them for years like that?

But come on, it's just a TV show, not a real tragedy.

Ever think about why stories hit so hard? That show might be fake, but the feeling when a character you've watched for years makes a huge mistake, that's real. It's like losing a friend you only knew from across the room. The story ends and it leaves a hole nothing else fills. Doesn't that make it a kind of loss, even if it's not a "real" one?

That "gut punch" feeling is like when your favorite coffee shop just disappears overnight.
