Took my 2010 Accord to a shop in Tacoma for a leaky sunroof drain, paid $220 for them to blow air through the lines. Next rainstorm the headliner was soaked and the rear speaker started crackling. Has anyone else dealt with a fix that just moved the leak somewhere else?
That is frustrating. Consumer Reports did a whole piece on sunroof leaks a few years back and they said the real fix is almost never just clearing the drain tubes. The water usually gets in because the seal around the glass is worn out, or the drain tube itself has come loose from the fitting. A shop that just blows air through is doing the cheap fix and hoping it holds. You might want to pull the headliner down yourself and check where the tube connects. If it's popped off, water runs straight down the pillar and into the speaker area.
