Cut a rafter 2 inches short on a roof job last month and had to improvise
I was framing a small shed roof outside Austin and misread my speed square, ended up with a rafter too short to reach the ridge. Had to sister on a scrap piece with glue and nails to make it work. Anybody else had to patch a mistake like that and how did you handle it?
