A client recorded my every move on the job

Lately, I notice more folks wanting to watch or film us work. Last week, a guy followed me around with his phone while I laid carpet. He kept asking about every tool and step, which was a bit much. It got funny when he almost backed into a wet seam. We had a good chuckle and I finished up fast.

Ugh, that surveillance feeling is the worst. My neighbor's security cams point right into my backyard, so every time I take out the trash I feel like I'm on a weird reality show. It's not illegal, but it sure makes a normal day feel strange.

Do you think they film out of simple curiosity or because they don't trust the work? That constant recording has to change how you do the job. It must add a layer of pressure to get everything perfect.

Totally feel that. My landlord put a camera in the shared hallway. Now I'm overthinking just walking to my own apartment. Like, do I look normal? Did I drop something? It makes a simple trip feel like a performance.
