Just swapped to a 3/4 inch seam roller after a job in Bakersfield went wrong

I used to think my old 1/2 inch roller was fine, but after a seam popped on a 90-degree day last month, I switched and haven't had a single failure since. Anyone else find a specific tool that saved their bacon on a hot install?

Sounds like you just got unlucky.

My cousin's roof in Phoenix taught me the same lesson. We had three seams fail on her south-facing slope during a 115-degree heatwave. Switched to a 3/4 inch roller for the repair and it held through the whole next summer. Julia_Lee might call it bad luck, but sometimes the tool really is the difference. That extra quarter inch of pressure makes all the glue spread right.
