Wasted 3 rolls of carpet in one day before I figured out the seam was running the wrong way
I was doing a 40 yard stretch in a hallway in Mesa last month and kept getting peaking at the seams no matter how tight I stretched it, must have run through 3 rolls trying to fix it. Turned out I had the nap running against the traffic flow the entire time because I just matched it to the door instead of thinking about how people walk through the space, and once I flipped my layout everything laid flat. How do you all decide nap direction when there's no obvious traffic pattern to follow?
