PSA: That $80 lawn mower blade sharpener I bought off Amazon is basically a scam

Picked it up last month thinking I'd save time sharpening my mower blades myself. First try on a 21 inch blade and it wobbled so bad I thought the thing was gonna fly off. Used three different blades and each one came out uneven, making the mower vibrate like crazy. Ended up taking them to a local shop for $10 a blade and they cut way smoother. Has anyone else had better luck with a different jig or am I just doing it wrong?

Those cheap Amazon jigs usually wobble because the blade isn't clamped tight enough.

Why would you assume it's a clamping issue when most of these cheap jigs have terrible blade guides that are basically just slots worn into cheap plastic? I've had three different budget models and every single one had the blade wobble because the guide blocks were misaligned from the factory, not because I couldn't crank a bolt tight enough. You can clamp a blade till your fingers hurt and that wobble won't go away because the whole guide assembly is flimsy and moves with the blade. Plus half the time the table isn't even flat so the blade tracks crooked no matter how you set it up. I'm not saying clamping doesn't matter but on these $30 jigs the problem is way deeper than just a loose screw.
