Tried the $1.99 frozen pizza from the discount bin, got a rock instead

Last Friday I grabbed one of those deeply discounted frozen pizzas from the salvage grocery in Tulsa, thought I was being smart. Price was $1.99, but the crust was so hard it cracked my ceramic dinner plate when I tried to slice it. I lost the pizza, the plate, and my appetite, so I ended up spending $4.50 on drive-thru tacos anyway. That's over $6.50 for a meal that was supposed to be a steal, and I'm still mad about it. Has anyone else had a discount frozen item that was just a total waste, or did I just pick the worst one possible?

Man that crust cracking your plate is brutal, I bought a discount pizza once and the cheese slid off like a bald tire.
