Gas station tacos vs fast food tacos - which one burned me worse?
I grabbed a pair of gas station tacos from a place called Quickstop in Phoenix for $3.50 last Tuesday after my regular lunch spot was closed. Honestly, they were decent - way better than the $6.50 Taco Bell box I usually get, but I had the runs by 3pm. So the question is: do you risk the cheap thrill for less money, or stick with the slightly more expensive chain that's safer? Has anyone else gambled on a gas station hot case and won?

Three dollars and fifty cents for lunch should never be considered a "cheap thrill" in my book. You got exactly what you paid for with those gas station tacos, and it sounds like your body agreed. Taco Bell might cost more, but at least you can look up their ingredients and safety record online without digging through a glovebox for a receipt. Gas station hot cases are notorious for sitting out too long, and the people handling that food aren't trained like fast food workers are. You gambled and lost, plain and simple. Stick with the chain next time, your stomach will thank you.

Wait, you actually found a gas station in Phoenix that charges $3.50 for two tacos? I'm with @willow407 on this one - that's just asking for trouble at that price point around here. My buddy grabbed a burrito from a Circle K once and spent the next 12 hours hugging a toilet.
