Heard a line cook say salt is just salt, but that changed when I tried Diamond Crystal

Tbh I always used whatever salt was cheapest at the store. But last week a buddy told me to get Diamond Crystal because it's way easier to pinch and spread evenly. I tested it on my steak at home and honestly the control is way better. You can actually see and feel how much you're adding. For $4 a box it's a game changer for anyone who cooks. Has anyone else noticed a big difference with kosher salt brands?

Wait, you mean my iodized table salt that's been sitting in the shaker since 2019 isn't the peak of culinary excellence?

Blew my mind when I found out table salt has anti-caking agents in it... stuff like yellow prussiate of soda. That's not something I want to think about sitting next to my pepper grinder. Kinda makes you wonder what else is hiding in that shaker...
