Noticing more solar panels in my neighborhood, but the permit process is so slow it's frustrating

Actually, I see it the other way around. Those permits might be slow for a good cause, like safety checks and following building rules. Hurrying could mean skipped steps that cause real danger later on. I'd take a slow, correct job over a fast, risky one any day. Maybe the delay shows more people are going solar and the town is being careful. What's the worst that could happen if they sped things up too much?

I mean, "too much caution" is basically my middle name, idk. But @sandrafoster has a point about safety checks being important, even if they slow things down. Maybe I need to chill out a bit and trust the process, lol.
