Pro tip: don't buy the $80 123 blocks with the drilled holes, mine were off by 0.008
Bought a set of 123 blocks from a tool guy at a swap meet in Akron for $80. The holes looked great in the pics. Got them home and checked them on my surface plate. The 1 inch face was off by 0.008 across the length, so every setup I did with them came out crooked for a month before I caught it. Stick with the solid ones from a real maker, or at least bring your own indicator to the meet. Anyone else get burned on cheap metrology gear like this?
