Frother skeptic for 3 years, then my cousin's cheap one sold me

I used to think electric milk frothers were a waste of counter space. Last week my cousin brought her $15 handheld one to a backyard brunch in Austin and whipped up this insane foam for a latte. I grabbed it, tried it on cold oat milk, and it was like a different drink. Now I'm looking at fancy steam wands, but I'm scared to drop $80 on something I only just got excited about. Anyone else get flipped on a gadget they'd been mocking?
