I tried a $20 blade grinder for a year after my burr one broke.

The coffee was always bitter and uneven, but I stuck with it thinking the difference was just hype. Finally replaced it with a new Baratza Encore and the first cup was so much cleaner, like a different drink. Are people really okay with that much variation in their daily coffee?

Yeah, some folks just don't know what they're missing.

My old Krups blade grinder made coffee taste like burnt dirt for two years straight. Upgrading to a Timemore C2 was like someone finally turned the lights on in my kitchen. How did I ever think that muddy cup was acceptable?

Remember thinking my old grinder was fine until I tried a friend's Baratza. Suddenly my coffee had actual flavors, like fruit and chocolate, not just bitter ash. It's wild how much a consistent grind changes everything.
