Just had a dude at the shop tell me he's got every issue of Amazing Spider-Man from #1 because his dad left him the collection, then he said he stopped reading in the 90s and has no idea what's happening now

My apprentice was pulling wire for a panel change last week and some customer walked in bragging about 850 issues and then admitted he hasn't picked one up since the clone saga, why would you even keep them at that point if you don't care anymore?

You said he has no idea what's happening now, did he even try flipping through one to see if it grabbed him?

Doubt it, probably just glanced at the cover.

Read an interview where the author talked about how he used a specific historical event as a jumping-off point, and that alone got me curious enough to pick up a copy. Might be worth a look if the cover doesn't do it for you.
