Spent $450 on a graded copy of Amazing Spider-Man #300 and got burned

I bought a CGC 9.6 copy off eBay last March from a seller with good feedback. When it arrived the case was cracked and the book had visible spine ticks that weren't in the listing photos. Has anyone else dealt with a shipper who refuses to refund for damage during transit?

eBay's buyer protection is actually pretty solid for this exact reason. I had a similar mess with a Hulk 181 slab that came in with a cracked case and a big crease that definitely wasn't in the listing. I opened a return request immediately with photos of the damage and the box it came in. The seller fought it at first but eBay sided with me after three days. You gotta file that claim as soon as you get the package, don't wait even 24 hours. And make sure you take pictures of the box and the packaging too, that helped my case a ton when the seller tried to blame me for dropping it.

My buddy Dan got a CGC 9.8 X-Men #1 that showed up with a corner crunch and the slab popped open cause the box was too big and got crushed. He had to open a case with eBay and it took three weeks but he finally got his money back when the seller didn't respond.
