Spent $60 on a plastic longbox for my comics and it warped in 2 months
I bought this cheap plastic longbox from a discount bin at a con back in March. Thought I was saving cash compared to the $40 cardboard ones or the expensive metal cabinets. Stored it in my basement against an outside wall and by May the whole thing bowed out like a banana. Lost a few bagged books at the bottom that got crimped because the plastic bent so bad. Anybody else run into storage disasters that wrecked their collection?

Oh man, that's rough. My buddy Greg bought a stack of those cheap plastic magazine holders from a dollar store to store his floppies and they literally started melting in the sun coming through his window. The whole bottom row of his Amazing Spider-Man run got this sticky residue all over the covers. He had to toss like fifteen books because the plastic actually bonded to the paper.
