Watched a drywall crew use 3 different tape methods on the same job site last week and nobody could agree which was right

The foreman swore by paper tape for the corners, the new guy was pushing fiberglass mesh on all the seams, and the old timer just shook his head using his own custom mud mix from a 5 gallon bucket, has anyone else had to deal with a crew that can't agree on one consistent method?

Sounds like they're running a tape method circus, not a drywall job.

Oh man, I've been to that circus. Pro tip, hit your tape edges with a thin coat first and let it flash before you lay the full bed down. Keeps the bubbles from popping up and turning the whole thing into a mess.
