Heard a client in Phoenix say they'd rather buy a new laptop than pay for a simple fan replacement

It's that throwaway culture mindset. People see a new gadget as an upgrade, not a fix. They'd rather have the latest model with a faster processor than deal with opening up the old one, even if it's a cheap part. The cost of labor makes it seem pointless when a new one is only a few hundred more. It's sad because so much e-waste comes from perfectly good machines with one tiny broken piece.

That fix-it mindset is solid. Ever try checking YouTube for a repair guide before tossing anything?

Used to feel the same way about just replacing things. Then I saw a video on how much waste that makes and it really hit me. Now I try to fix stuff first.
