Hit 1,000 repaired laptops this week and the one that broke me was a 2012 ThinkPad

I was so excited to cross that milestone but then a client brought in a crusty T430 with a bad keyboard and when I flipped it over to pop the bezel off I snapped three clips and now I'm wondering if we even keep count for the right reasons, anyone else hit a round number and feel more annoyed than proud?

Counting is just a number. You broke clips because they're old plastic, not because of the count.
