Cracked slab repair in Boise took 3 days, shoulda been 6 hours?
Poured a small patio last month and a corner spalled weird after 2 days. I spent 3 days chipping, patching, and recoloring trying to match the original finish. My partner said just tear it out and repour, but I was stubborn about saving the mix. Anyone else burn way too long on a fix that should've been a quick grind and resurface? What's your call on saving vs ripping out?
Read somewhere that trying to match a patch to cured concrete is almost never gonna look right because the new mix cures different, especially with color. My old boss used to say if the patch is bigger than a dinner plate just cut it out and repour. Sunk cost is real though, I get the stubborn thing.
