Finally caved and bought a $300 magnesium float after my old steel one kept sticking on a hot pour in Phoenix.

That thing glides like butter on hot concrete and saved my bacon on a 4,000 sq ft warehouse floor last week, so has anyone found a good way to keep the handle from getting so slick with sweat?

Oh man, I feel that slick handle struggle in my soul. Honestly, my grip is so bad I nearly launched my own float into orbit once. Tbh I just wrapped my handle with a bunch of that cheap foam pipe insulation and taped it down, looks awful but it works. Still feels like I'm holding a wet fish sometimes though.

Ever try that hockey stick grip tape? Read it gives crazy good hold even when wet. Supposed to be way less bulky than foam too. Might be worth a shot if the pipe wrap feels too slick.

Just wear a pair of those cheap work gloves.
