Picked a wood float over a magnesium one on a 400 sq ft driveway in Tulsa, did I mess up?
My buddy swore by magnesium for hot weather pours so I almost bought one, but the old timer at the supply yard said wood still wins for a creamier finish on small jobs. I went with a 3.5 ft wood float and the surface came out looking wet and even, no dark streaks, even in 95 degree heat. Now I am wondering if I am leaving an easier tool on the table for the next slab, or if wood is still the way to go for anything under 500 sq ft.
