Showerthought: A spray bottle helped my driveway patch set right
I was fixing a hole in my driveway and kept a spray bottle of water close. A quick mist before the final trowel pass kept the surface from getting too dry too fast.

Man, my version of this story ends with me spraying way too much and turning the patch into a sad concrete soup. I have the opposite problem where I overthink every step. I probably would have tried to use a humidifier or something equally over the top, only to make a bigger hole than I started with. My driveway looks like it's been through a tiny warzone thanks to my 'help'.

Ever notice how we assume there's one right way to do these repairs? Sometimes the simplest fix, like just mixing the patch with the water it needs from the start, works better than any extra gadget because you can't over-spray what's already mixed right, lol.

Tiny warzone? That's a bit dramatic, don't you think! It's just a driveway patch, not some big deal. Overcomplicating things with humidifiers or overthinking every step is where it goes wrong. The spray bottle idea is straightforward and works if you don't go overboard. Honestly, a few imperfections aren't the end of the world.
