Coffee shop debate about chemtrails changed my mind
I was arguing with this older guy at a diner last Tuesday about chemtrails, and he pulled out a stack of government documents from the 90s showing weather modification experiments. He asked me why I trust the sky but not the paperwork... has anyone else had a conversation that flipped their whole view on something?

Oh totally, something similar happened to me with GMOs a few years back. Ran into a farmer at a bar who showed me the actual research papers and I just sat there like... why do I believe the headlines and not the science? It really makes you wonder who's actually doing the gatekeeping on information.

Google the names behind the headlines first, saved me a ton of gullible moments.

Is it really gatekeeping though, or is it just that the people shouting loudest are the ones with the most to lose if people actually read the science? Seems like the whole system is set up to make you trust the easy story instead of the messy truth.
