I finally realized glow-in-the-dark stars on my ceiling cost me $60 and 4 hours of sleep
Stuck them up 3 months ago and they barely last 20 minutes in the dark, plus I keep waking up thinking they're spider eyes - has anyone else fallen for this bedroom gimmick?

Always thought they looked cool but never realized they were that much of a hassle, definitely rethinking that purchase now.

nah actually the glow paint thing doesnt last thaaat long either, at least the ones i tried. i did a set of stars with some expensive glow paint and they were weak after like 4 months. the real trick is to get the little dab on glow dots they sell for astronomy stuff, those things actually glow all night if you charge them with a flashlight for a minute. way less work than painting too

Paint your own with glow paint next time instead, it lasts way longer and costs less. Just make sure you use a high quality brand or you'll end up in the same boat.
