I spent $300 on a 'declassified' government manual that was just a bad photocopy

Got really into the whole 'free energy' thing a while back and bought what was sold as a leaked DARPA blueprint. It showed up in a plain envelope, just 20 pages of blurry text and diagrams that looked like they were copied from a bad sci-fi book. The seller vanished from the forum right after. Anyone know a good way to actually check if something like that is real before you pay?

Honestly, "declassified" stuff is usually just public records you can find online.

Ugh, this reminds me of how everything gets rebranded as "new" when it's just old stuff with a fresh label.

Disagree, @karen_perry38, some declassified files reveal genuinely new info (like those UFO reports last year).
