Spent 6 hours chasing a ghost signal in a DMX lighting rig for a church play
Had a single LED par can flickering randomly during dress rehearsal, and after swapping cables, controllers, and power supplies, it turned out the dimmer pack next to it was leaking voltage through the ground. Has anyone else dealt with interference from old dimmer racks ruining modern LED fixtures?

@jamesf26 not quite right though, modern dimmer racks with sine wave tech actually play fine with LEDs, its the old SCR racks that cause the flicker ghosting. Sounds like that dimmer pack was just a crusty old analog one leaking through the ground like you said.

Old dimmer racks and LED fixtures just don't play nice together, that's pretty well known at this point.
