DAE use their phone camera slow-mo to check if a laser level line is straight on long walls?
I was fighting a bowed hallway in a Cleveland duplex last month and couldn't trust my eye at 20 ft, so I filmed the line in slow-mo and the curve showed up instantly. Curious if anyone else does this or if there's a better app for it.
Wait, you can actually see a bow in a laser line with slow-mo? That never even crossed my mind and now I feel dumb for squinting at walls like an idiot for years. I always just trusted the level and blamed my eyes when something looked off at the far end. So does the slow-mo thing work because the camera picks up the curve better than your eyes do at that distance, or is it more about watching the line move across the frame? I might have to try this on the next long wall because I've had a few where the line looked fine up close and then way off by the corner.
