Dropped paper plans for a tablet holder on my jobsite cart
I used to haul rolled up blueprints everywhere and they'd get wet or torn by lunch. Two weeks ago in Phoenix I finally bolted a cheap tablet mount to my cart and loaded the PDFs into a free viewer app. Now I zoom into wall details right where I stand instead of walking back to the truck for the tenth time. The battery lasts a full 8 hour day and the screen is readable in direct sun with the brightness cranked. Anyone else ditch paper plans and regret not doing it sooner?
Did the same thing last summer after my third set of prints got soaked in a rainstorm. Got a Galaxy Tab A on sale and one of those ram mounts that clamps to a pipe, bolted it right to the handle of my cart. Best part is searching the PDF for a sheet number instead of flipping through 40 pages with wet gloves on. Only thing I'd say is get a good screen protector and a thick case, mine took a tumble off the cart once and cracked the corner.
