I was a tape measure purist until a laser tripod changed my mind on a job site
Honestly, I used to think laser measures were just for lazy guys who couldn't read a tape. Then last month we were framing a deck in Denver and needed to mark out 47 feet 8 inches across an uneven yard. My coworker handed me a Bosch GLM 400 and I had the measurement in 3 seconds flat, no math, no sagging tape. Has anyone else had a tool they hated for years that actually saved them?

Wait, was the uneven ground actually the issue that made the tape measure useless, or was it more about the distance itself being too long to hold a tape straight?

Hated my laser level for a week until I used it on a concrete foundation and couldn't believe my eyes.
