If you're running excavator GPS on a 2019 or newer Deere in the Twin Cities, check your base station firmware before the next pour | Construction Tech Tools - Opinions Matter
Had this bite me on a 2021 210G last spring pouring a foundation off 494 in Bloomington. The base was on old firmware and the rover kept drifting about 0.15 in the deeper cuts. Everything looked fine on the display until we checked the residuals. We wasted half a day chasing phantom grade issues before we figured the base was the problem. Update the firmware and re-check your radio link while you're at it, because a weak signal will make the same mess look like bad calibration. Takes ten minutes and saves you a pour.
